about

The song "American Dude" tells an incredible story about "stereotypes" and the effects it has on our ability to change for the better. It's clear that I-NZ has spent time traveling and spending time reflecting on his own purpose and has decided to use his platform in music to inspire real change. It starts from within and we all can contribute to a better world by showing each other respect and remaining open minded when it comes to people of different backgrounds and cultures.

American Dude

A song by I-NZ

Lyrics:

Verse 1

I once met this American dude
He was a homeless man that was begging for food
I picked him up and then I bought him a stew
Made sure he never had to sleep in the nude
I once met this American dude
He was rich alright, he was an American jew
A nice guy, but a racist fool
Extreme when he spoke of his Samaritan views,
I once met this American dude
He was a simple man from Michigan, Kalamazoo
A religious man who told me that I had to come through
Pulled out a gun and tried to kill when I was to refuse
I once met this American dude
Was in the army so he gave me a thorough review,
He told me that he wished he could undo
Everything that ever happened when the army intrude,

Chorus:

I once met this American dude, a real gentleman by the name of Lui the lu
He was a king amongst the men from his crew, one of many from his country and the credit is due
You see, Lui the lu outweighs lui the cruel, if you think to the contrary then you’re a fool
Never judge anyone by their government’s rule and never stereotype the majority from a few
Verse 2
I once met this American dude
Immature, tattooed, never got out of school
He got sick when he captured a flu
Couldn’t continue just cause that’s what his government do
I once met this American dude
Who ended up in a cell after losing a suit
His wife didn’t take time yea she took all his loot
She took everything even his shoe
I once met this American dude
He was an athlete 6 ft at 22
He spent all of his money cause he didn’t have a clue
Till he got injured and couldn’t pay the equivalent to
I once met this American dude
He was trying to sell me all of his jewels
A gay man comfortable in his shoes
Until he died in the hands of a judicial review,

Chorus

(Interlude)

Yea, what you perceive might not actually be factual or reality, you see, we all stereotype, we all judge, and we all need to change for the better. You know what? I’ll let him explain it to you: “Its Lui”
Verse 3
I am Mr. Lui the Lu,
that American dude in your glowing review,
But you forgot to mention that I’m the American Jew,
The one that fought with his wife and had to give up his shoes,

You see, I once was in the army hell,
But I couldn’t turn back till I got hit by a shell,
There it went, my career as an athlete as well,
So I copped a gun and ended up in a cell,

Despite me writing this verse from a grave,
Because my husband couldn’t afford the medical wage,
You were only ever focused on where I was from,
So the next few lines are gonna leave you stunned,

Take a second now to think about all the above,
And how it could apply to anyone that you love,
The more you think about it the more that its true,
Matter of fact – You could be that American dude – Damn!

Chorus
